A five-member team from our technical departments – research and development, production, and maintenance and automation, traveled last week to visit the world’s largest trade fair for plastics and rubber – K Show. During the three days they participated, they had the opportunity to connect with industry colleagues and explore various trends in technologies, products, and services relevant to our work.
We asked Vida, the project team leader, to share her experience and insights:
‘Summing it up, the team is very satisfied with the trip. Trade fairs remain crucial meeting places for discovering industry trends, interesting applications, and for building and maintaining personal relationships with suppliers. Meetings with other fair participants were very productive and will contribute significantly to our future projects related to product design and manufacturing process improvements.
Also, it was nice to see some familiar faces and have time to chat with colleagues from other companies.’
Tomislav reflected on this year’s theme:
‘This year’s edition covered important topics in the circular economy and digitization, which are crucial in our current closed-loop production and future plans for automation and growth. It was interesting to see how exhibitors presented their innovations and how they integrated these principles in a way that is economically, technically, and environmentally sustainable.
As plastic manufacturers, aware of the importance and vast applications of this material, we believe that the industry needs to responsibly approach building a rational system for the reuse and recycling of plastic products that serves all stakeholders in the process.’
As the team completes their reports, we look forward to K Show 2025!
