A 5-person team of our colleagues from technical departments – research & development, production, and maintenance & automatization, traveled last week to visit the world’s biggest trade fair for plastics and rubber – K show. During the three days they attended, they had an opportunity to connect with industry peers and explore different trends in technologies, products, and services relevant to our work.
We asked Vide, a project team lead, to tell us about the experience and the exhibitions.
Overall, the team is really happy with the trip. The trade fairs continue being an important meeting point to discover industry trends and interesting applications and to build and maintain personal relationships with suppliers. Meetings with other fair participants were very productive and will serve as great input into out future projects regarding product design and production process improvements.
Also, it was nice seeing some familiar faces and have some time to catch up with colleagues from other companies.
Tomislav commented on this year’s theme –
This year’s edition featured important topics in circular economy and digitalization, both important in our current closed-loop production and future automatization and growth plans. It was interesting to see exhibitors present their innovations and how they integrate these principles in a manner that is economically, technically and environmentally sustainable.
As plastic manufacturers, knowing the importance and the huge scope of application of this material, we think that the industry needs to responsibly approach building a reasonable system of reuse and recyling of plastic articles in a manner that serves all stakeholders in the process.
As the team is finishing up their reports, we’re looking forward to the K show 2025!
